剑桥大学化工系如何?
Cambridge is a great uni. I don't think you can compare it with other universities in the UK as each university has its own charm and characteristics that makes it stand out from the rest of the competition. A lot of people would say Oxford is better for physics or Durham is best for Earth Sciences but nobody can deny Cambridge's excellence in Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics. The university itself is very rich (with a large endowment) which means there are no barriers to learning – if you want to study something hard and complex then they will make sure you have all the resources you need to succeed. They were also one of the first higher institutions in England to introduce a fully-electronic library (the other was Oxford ) so even back in 2006 the libraries were top notch.
The college system used at Cambridge is another one of those things that everyone thinks is cool about this place. If you want to have some real fun (or just get drunk on a Friday night), go down to one of the colleges such as King’s或Pembroke。 You might be surprised who you see walking around the halls because like Oxford, Cambridge has an excellent reputation in attracting top academics and researchers from across the globe so you really never know who you may meet!
For students, life is pretty cheap here too. Accommodation is fairly inexpensive(if you don't mind sharing)and food is good value. There are lots of bars/restaurants on or near the Cambridge University campus so you won't run out of places to eat or drink. I do wish they had more pubs though.
I am not going to lie——it does rain a lot and can get quite chilly. But hey, we paid £9k a year to come here ——we aren't complaining about the weather!
